I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. My expertise and research interests are in transatlantic relations, European politics and societies, and foreign policy (US, Europe). Country expertise: Germany, Italy, Romania, France. I have recently developed a research interest in Latin America. In general, my work concerns the intersections of politics and history. I was born in Lauterbach/Hessen and grew up in Darmstadt. All during the Cold War in what was then West-Germany, the old Federal Republic. I received my PhD in political science from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
