TRAVELING TO PAVIA

 

FROM THE AIRPORT

There are three international airports close to Pavia. Milan Linate is the closest at 50km, Milan Malpensa is at 90km and Orio al Serio (Bergamo) at 100km. Reaching Pavia is quite easy from all three airports.

Linate Airport
A taxi from Linate to Pavia will cost around €70.
There is a direct coach line between Linate and Pavia’s train station with 5 daily departures.
Another solution is to take the coach from Linate to Milan Central train station and take a train to Pavia.

Malpensa Airport
A taxi from Malpensa to Pavia centre will cost around €135.
There is no direct connection between Malpensa and Pavia. You need to reach Milan Central train station, either by Malpensa Express train (from Malpensa terminal 1) or by coach(right outside both terminals, leaving every 15 minutes, €10) and then take a train to Pavia.

Orio al Serio Airport (Bergamo)
A taxi from Orio al Serio to Pavia will cost around €130.
There is no direct connection between the airport of Orio al Serio and Pavia. You need to take a coach to Milan Central train station (leaving approximately every 15 minutes, €10) and from there take a train to Pavia.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
 
Train
There is regular train service between Milan and Pavia. Fares range between €4 for regional trains and €10 for intercity trains. Most trains leave from Milan Central train station. There is also a commuter line (S13) leaving every 30 minutes (during the day) from train stations Milano Bovisa and Milano Rogoredo.
